Yield 12-16 Biscuits INGREDIENTS 2 cups all purpose flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled ¾ cup buttermilk 1 egg beaten 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, finely chopped PREPARATION Preheat oven to 425 degrees F Sift together dry ingredients. Cut butter into the flour mixture, but do not overwork. Stir in milk, egg and thyme. Turn dough onto floured surface and knead about a dozen times. Roll dough into golf-ball sized balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for approximately 12-14 minutes until lightly browned. Serve hot with butter. Post a comment
